Praveer Roy

Praveer Roy has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Praveer is currently a member of the Leadership Team at Mu Sigma Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as an advisor and board member at Jigserv Digital Private Limited, a digital marketing startup, since 2008. Praveer conceived and designed the Media Buying Algorithm for the company's advertisement platform.

Praveer also worked at Accenture from 2015 to 2021, where they held the role of Quality Lead for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Analytics. In this position, they used Six Sigma, Machine Learning Techniques, and other analytical methods to solve quality issues arising from the Covid-19 disruption and work-from-home delivery of business process services. Praveer also developed a Machine Learning tool to predict errors in transaction processing.

From 2013 to 2015, Praveer was the Chief Operating Officer at Loylty Rewardz Mngt Pvt Ltd, a venture capital-funded start-up in the consumer loyalty space in India. Praveer played a crucial role in scaling up the operations of the company, which is the market leader in payments and retail loyalty programs.

Praveer's earlier experience includes a nine-year stint at Capgemini, where they held various roles, including Offshore Sales Lead for Coca-Cola Global Account and Account Development Executive for Swedish clients Ikea, SKF, and Akzo Nobel. During their time at Capgemini, they also contributed to innovation and social enterprise initiatives, conceiving alternative creative proposals for digital transformation.

Before Capgemini, Praveer worked as the Head of Corporate Strategy at Alkem Laboratories Ltd. In their early career, they held various roles in supply chain management at Jumbo Electronics Company Limited (LLC) and finance control at Motherson Sumi Systems Limited.

Praveer's career began in 1997 as an Audit Manager at Deloitte.

Praveer Roy's education history includes obtaining various degrees and certifications over the years. In 1980 to 1992, Roy attended St. Xavier's School in Bokaro Steel City, completing their K-12 education. Praveer then went on to the University of Delhi from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree. Following that, from 1994 to 1997, they studied at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and became a Chartered Accountant. In 2001 to 2002, Roy attended the Indian School of Business, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, in 2004, they qualified the Uniform CPA Exam in the USA through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

In terms of additional certifications, Roy has completed various courses on Coursera. In 1999, they obtained certified software courses in C++, Visual Basic-6, Oracle SQL-8, and Developer 2000 from STG International Limited. Continuing their learning journey, they completed the Machine Learning Engineering for Production (MLOps) Specialization in January 2023, the Natural Language Processing Specialization in December 2022, and the Deep Learning Specialization in January 2022, all from Coursera. Prior to that, in April 2019, they obtained the Digital Marketing Specialization from Coursera. Additionally, in December 2015, Roy completed the Data Science Specialization and obtained a Machine Learning certificate from Coursera in August 2015.
