Sarah Fahmy has extensive experience in programme and project management, primarily within the education and arts sectors. Currently serving as Programme Manager at Jisc since February 2009, Sarah oversees the Open Access programme, managing nine projects across 30 universities with a significant budget of over £350K aimed at enhancing the discoverability of research outputs. Additionally, Sarah is responsible for digital content initiatives that facilitate access to educational resources for students and educators. Prior roles include Project Manager at JISC Collections, where Sarah supported digital content access for UK schools, and Rights and Sales Negotiator at Tate, focusing on licensing and business development. Sarah began a career in rights management at HarperCollins Publishers, negotiating licensing deals for Far Eastern markets and handling co-edition sales for the US. Academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) in History of Art from the University of Leeds and A-levels from Walthamstow Hall school.
