Jim Kring has had a varied career in the technology industry. Jim began their career in 1995 as a Student Research Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they wrote software in LabVIEW to automate a general-purpose EUV spectroscopy system on Beamline 9.3.1 at the Advanced Light Source Synchrotron. In 2002, they became the CEO of JKI. In 2003, they took on the role of Consultant at Applied Biosystems. In 2004, they authored the book LabVIEW for Everyone, which can be found at http://www.labviewforeveryone.com.
Jim Kring began their education in 1991 at Mount Miguel High School and graduated in 1994. Jim then attended UC Berkeley College of Engineering, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Sciences in 1998. Jim also earned a BS in Environmental Engineering Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999.
