Ashley Balsom

Ashley Balsom is a Public Involvement Coordinator at JLA Public Involvement since March 2024, previously serving as a Transportation Planner with Lane County Government from December 2023 to July 2024. At Lane County, responsibilities included communication about transportation projects and data analysis. Ashley's experience also encompasses a role as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Intern at the City of Eugene, where contributions included co-authoring updated toolkits and researching hate crime policies. Additional roles include Graduate Student Research Assistant for the Institute for Policy Research and Engagement, Equity Workshop Facilitator for the Portland Parks Foundation, and multiple positions with the City of Eugene, including Recreation Coordinator. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Tourism and Recreation Management from the University of Montana.
