Chirag Mehta

Chirag Mehta has had extensive work experience in the finance industry. Chirag started their career at Transglobal Security limited in 2003 as a Proprietary Trader, where they focused on Delta one strategy and various Option strategies to generate income. Chirag then moved on to Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt. Ltd. in 2006, where they worked as a Derivative Sales Trader, servicing leading domestic mutual funds and devising options strategies based on implied volatility. In 2009, Chirag joined ULJK Securities as the Head of Institutional Derivatives, where they set up the Institutional Derivatives desk, developed trading strategies, and serviced domestic mutual funds, FIIs, and hedge funds. In 2010, Chirag joined JM Financial Ltd as a Senior Associate in Equity Derivative Sales Trading, where they jointly set up the derivative desk and developed trading strategies based on futures and option data. Chirag was later promoted to Assistant Vice President of Proprietary Trading, where they successfully scaled up the arbitrage book from $5mn to $30mn. In 2015, Chirag was promoted to Vice President in Sales Trading, where they built relationships with buy-side traders and received recognition in the industry for their ideation work.

Chirag Mehta completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Borivali Education Society College in 2001. Chirag then pursued a Masters in Commerce with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General at Mumbai University from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, they enrolled in N.L. Dalmia to complete a Master of Financial Management (MFM) degree with a specialization in Finance. Lastly, Chirag attended St. Xaviers High School in Borivali from 1988 to 1997.
