Leena Walia-Thomas

Leena Walia-Thomas has a diverse work experience starting from 1997. Leena worked as an Assistant Sales Manager at Oberoi Hotel, Mumbai, from 1997 to 2000. Following that, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Baazee.com (now eBay.com) in 2000-2001. Leena then joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2002 as a Director and Market Head- West, Private Banking, where they served until 2015. Leena then moved to IIFL Private Wealth Management Ltd and worked as a Partner from 2015 to 2020. In 2021, they became the Managing Partner & Wealth Head-India at AsiaCap Investment Advisors Pvt. Ltd. until July 2022. Currently, Leena holds the position of Executive Director at JM Financial Ltd in their Private Wealth Group.

Leena Walia-Thomas has a degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition in Mumbai. Leena also has a high school degree in Commerce from Air Force Golden Jubilee institute in N. Delhi. Additionally, they hold a PGDBA degree in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
