Eddie Jones

A specialist clinical negligence solicitor and head of the clinical negligence team at JMW, Eddie Jones is widely regarded as a leading practitioner in the field.

Eddie's department is one of just two firms in the North West awarded a Tier 1 ranking in independent legal industry guides Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500.

As well as leading the clinical negligence practice at JMW, Eddie specialises in brain and spinal injury cases and has secured many multi-million pound compensation settlements for children and adults. This includes obtaining £26 million for a child who suffered severe brain damage due to maternity failures and £9.3 million in compensation for a man with permanent disabilities due to negligent cauda equina syndrome care. Clients frequently comment on his kind and compassionate nature and say he is a trusted source of support at one of the most challenging times of their life.

Eddie was again awarded Star Individual status in the 2021 edition of legal industry guide Chambers and Partners, in recognition of his extensive expertise. Chambers notes that Eddie is regarded as a ‘titan in the field of clinical negligence’ and that clients interviewed said he ‘provides an exceptional service from start to finish.' Eddie is also ranked as a leading individual in the Legal 500.

A member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel and Action against Medical Accidents’ solicitor referral panel, Eddie was the winner of the Partner of the Year award at the 2019 Manchester Legal Awards. He is involved with numerous charities and support services and is on the board of directors of children's charity Rainbow Hub.
