Michael Somma

Michael Somma is a Research Associate at JOANNEUM RESEARCH since April 2024, previously serving as an Artificial Intelligence Consultant at Deloitte from January 2023 to March 2024, where representation at the ADV Data Xcelence Conference 2023 took place. Prior to Deloitte, Michael worked as a Data Scientist at Predictea-Digital Care e.U. focusing on topic clustering and linear regression models for rental price predictions. Academic experience includes positions at Universität Wien from October 2018 to March 2020, where projects involved electron microscopy, spectroscopy, and scanning transmission microscopy. Michael holds a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Vienna (March 2018 - October 2022) and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the same institution (2013 - 2018). Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Computer Science at Technische Universität Graz starting September 2024.
