Nicole Scherschun has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of communication and journalism. Nicole started their career in 2002 as a Freelance Reporter for Westfälische Rundschau and worked there until 2005. From 2006 to 2008, they served as a Student Assistant at the Erich-Brost-Institut for international journalism. Nicole then joined Deutsche Welle in 2008 as an Editor/Reporter, where they worked until 2014. In 2012, they became a Foreign Correspondent for Fernwehfunker and worked there until 2016. From 2014 to 2016, they also had a position in Media Relations at The Boston Consulting Group. Scherschun joined JOBLINGE in 2016 where they initially worked in Concept Development and then became the Head of Communication and Concept Development in 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Public Relations & Impact Partnerships at JOBLINGE starting from January 2022.
Nicole Scherschun completed their education at various institutions. From 2002 to 2008, they attended TU Dortmund University, where they earned a Diploma in Journalism and Political Science. In 2004, they also completed a Volontäring program at Deutsche Welle. Furthermore, from the years 2010 to 2012, they attended Goethe University Frankfurt, specializing in International Studies with a focus on Peace and Conflict Studies. Nicole Scherschun has also obtained additional certifications, including one in Agiles Projektmanagement from LinkedIn in 2021.
