Joshua Johnson has a diverse work experience starting from 2005. Joshua worked as a Laborer/Grade Checker at Walsh Construction from July 2005 to November 2010. Joshua then transitioned to become a Motivational Speaker/Personal Transition Coach at Reaching Back and Reaching Out from January 2005 to January 2013. In 2012, they founded and worked as an Instructor for the Back to Reality program at Reaching Back and Reaching Out, aiming to help ex-offenders reintegrate into society and reduce recidivism. Joshua joined the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development in February 2013 and held various roles, including Division of Vocational Rehabilitation-Business Services Consultant, Apprenticeship Training Representative, Chief of Field Operations/Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards, and State Director of Apprenticeship Standards. In October 2021, Joshua became the Director of the Innovation Hub for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility in Reg. Apprenticeship at Jobs for the Future (JFF).
Joshua Johnson received their high school diploma in Communication (TV/Radio) from John Marshall High School, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In 2011 to 2012, they pursued a degree in Business with a focus on Entrepreneurship from Joseph Business School.
