Shana Payne

Shana Payne has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Shana currently holds the position of Director of Education at Jobs for the Future (JFF) since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the State of Delaware as the Director of Higher Education in the Department of Education from 2013 to 2023. Shana also served as the Executive Director at College Summit from 2011 to 2013. At College Summit, they held various roles such as Director of Strategic Partnerships in the National Capital Region from 2009 to 2011, Program Director from 2005 to 2009, and Program Manager for National Program Operations from 2002 to 2005. Before joining College Summit, they worked as a Teacher at Coatesville Area School District from 1999 to 2000.

Shana Payne received their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and Education from Yale University in 1999. Shana then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware, which they completed in 2002.
