Herve Martins-Rivas

Herve Martins-rivas has extensive work experience in the aerospace and engineering industry. Herve is currently working as the Product Intelligence Lead at Joby Aviation since 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Uber from 2019 to 2021, serving as the Vehicle Partner Engineering Lead and the Autonomous Aerial Systems Lead Engineer for Elevate. From 2011 to 2019, Herve worked at Kitty Hawk, where they held the positions of GNC Lead Engineer and Aerospace Engineer. Herve was responsible for leading the controls and aerodynamics teams and played a key role in the development of small and full-scale VTOL airplanes. Before joining Kitty Hawk, Herve worked as a Research Engineer at Desktop Aeronautics from 2009 to 2011 and as an Engineer at UFO Wind in 2008. Herve also worked as a RA at MIT from 2006 to 2008 and as an Intern at Dassault Aviation in 2006.

Herve Martins-rivas began their education at Lycée Louis le Grand, where they studied MP from 2001 to 2003. Herve then attended École Polytechnique from 2003 to 2006, earning a degree in Dynamique des fluides and Informatique. Herve continued their education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Aeronautics.
