J. Brian Shaw Jr., MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. J. Brian is currently working as a Systems Safety Engineer at Joby Aviation since May 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Systems Safety Engineer and Systems and Equipment (Electrical-Safety) ODA Unit Member at Raytheon Technologies from April 2020 to May 2022.

From November 2018 to April 2020, Brian worked as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Collins Aerospace. Before joining Collins Aerospace, they worked at Rockwell Collins for over 11 years, starting as an Electrical Engineer from November 2007 to February 2010, and then progressing to become a Project Engineer and Sr. Systems Engineer. As a Project Engineer, they were responsible for coordinating between internal teams, managing project schedules, and serving as the primary interface with multiple customers.

Brian's career started at MCE in March 2005, where they worked as a Field Service Technician until October 2007. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in systems engineering, safety engineering, and project management. With their strong engineering background and leadership skills, they have contributed to the success of various organizations in the aerospace industry.

J. Brian Shaw Jr., MBA, received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology from Purdue University. J. Brian attended Purdue from 1999 to 2005. Subsequently, they pursued further education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Finance at the University of Iowa. This degree was obtained from 2010 to 2013.
