Tom Yothers

Tom Yothers is a software engineer with over 16 years of experience. Tom currently works at Joby Aviation as a Software Engineer, starting in June 2020. Prior to that, they were employed at Fidelity Flight Simulation Inc as a Senior Software Engineer/Software Architect from June 2009 to June 2020. In this role, they designed and developed object-oriented software for simulation training of pilots and led multiple projects simultaneously. Tom also played a key role in building offshore oil rig ballast control simulators. Earlier in their career, Tom worked at Psychology Software Tools as a Software Developer II from March 2004 to October 2008. Tom developed virtual reality software for medical studies addressing phobias and addiction, integrated virtual reality software with non-ferrous materials for fMRI brain imaging, and developed a fully articulated motion capture system using fiber optics.

From 2002 to 2004, Tom Yothers attended Full Sail University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Game Design and Production.
