Matthew Wickstrand

Matthew Wickstrand has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Matthew worked as the VP of Product at John Burns Research and Consulting from 2023 onwards. Prior to that, they were a Principal Product Manager at realtor.com from 2020 to 2023. From 2015 to 2020, they served as a Senior Product Manager at Intuit. Additionally, Matthew held the position of VP of Product at Underground Elephant from 2013 to 2014. Before that, they founded Kareer.me in 2011 and served as its Founder and CEO until 2014, where they developed a passive in-house recruiting platform for SMBs. In 2010, they founded NextClose, a real estate service aimed at simplifying the home selling process while dis-intermediating real estate agents. Matthew also gained experience at SPAWAR, where they worked as a Lead Engineer and Lead Project Manager. Matthew was responsible for developing a common communication platform for airport checkpoint security screening equipment. Lastly, they held the position of VP Technology at Allodic Marketing, Inc. from 2004 to 2007, where they oversaw technology integration and worked closely with customers to implement new technologies and expand the network footprint.

Matthew Wickstrand completed their MBA in Entrepreneurship and Management from USC Marshall School of Business, starting in 2008 and graduating in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Matthew also completed a certification course titled "John Maeda on Design, Business, and Inclusion" offered by LinkedIn in February 2020.
