Jorge Chacon received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal and Renewable Power Plant from Camaguey University in 1988. Jorge then pursued a Master's Degree in Renewable Energies from the University of Oriente, which they completed in 1998. Jorge later attended the University of the Basque Country and earned a Doctorate in Renewable Energy in 2003. In 2015, they completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program in Business Administration from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.
