Marc Charlier has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Marc started their career as a Junior Financial Auditor at DC&Co in 2006. In 2007, they joined John Cockerill and worked as a Project Manager in John Cockerill Industry until 2009. Marc then transitioned to the position of Financial Project Manager in John Cockerill Defence until 2011. Marc moved on to work at NETHYS VOO as a Billing & Credit Collection Analyst from 2011 to 2012. Marc then returned to John Cockerill and held various positions, including Trade Finance Manager in John Cockerill Corporate from 2012 to 2017 and Business Unit Financial Controller in John Cockerill Energy LLC from 2017 to 2019. Marc's most recent role is as a General Manager in John Cockerill Europe Environnement since 2019, and they are currently serving as a Project Director in John Cockerill Group since August 2022.

Marc Charlier completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from HELMo in 2003. Marc then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Liège, which they completed in 2006. In 2005, they also briefly attended The University of Lethbridge but did not obtain a degree from there. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Change Management from Prosci.
