Bernard Cicut

Appointed in April 2022, Bernard Cicut is President of John Crane. In this role, he has global responsibility for the largest division of Smiths Group. Bernard brings more than 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles across multiple industrial technology businesses.

Prior to joining John Crane, Bernard was President of 3M’s Personal Safety Division, leading significant sales growth, including a rapid increase in the global demand for respirators that were critical in the world’s fight against COVID-19. In addition, Bernard led global teams through successful acquisitions and entry into new market segments and streamlined processes to increase efficiencies.

Bernard previously served in Managing Director roles at 3M across several regions, including Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Mexico, and France, and as Chief Financial Officer of Sumitomo 3M.

Bernard holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Institut Supérieur de Gestion and is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
