Malin Markerud

Malin Markerud has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, they served as the COO at John Henric since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Nividas Eyewear from January 2020 to January 2023.

From 2015 to 2020, Malin worked at Björn Borg in different roles, starting as a Retail Manager and gradually progressing to become the Global Retail Director. In these positions, they had overall responsibility for the retail operations, driving sales targets and ensuring a strong brand focus.

In 2018, Malin co-founded TinyWorld.se, an e-commerce site focused on eco-friendly baby and toddler products. Malin served as an Owner and Co-Founder, overseeing strategic planning, marketing strategy, and optimizing search engine performance.

Before that, Malin worked at Diesel as the Nordic Retail Operations Manager from 2013 to 2015, where they improved results and KPIs in retail stores across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. Prior to this, they held the position of Store Manager, responsible for maximizing results and KPIs in both a flagship store and a concession at Illum.

Earlier in their career, Malin gained experience as a Store Manager at Carlings AS from 2008 to 2010, and at Oasis from 2008 to 2009. Malin also had a role as an Assistant Store Manager at Oasis from 2007 to 2008.

Malin started their career in 2006 as a Sales Associate at Esprit.

Malin Markerud began their education in 2001 at Sundsgymnasiet, where they completed their Gymnasieutbildning in Dance and Theater in 2004. In 2004, they briefly attended Malmö University, focusing on Political Science. The following year, in 2005, they enrolled in LundsFolkhögskola and obtained a degree in Photography in 2006.

In terms of additional certifications, Malin Markerud completed a course in Digital Marketing at Digitalakademin, offered by Google, in December 2017. Malin also obtained certification in Google Analytics for Beginners from Google in March 2017.
