Postdoctoral Research Assistant at John Innes Centre

Henk-Jan Schoonbeek's work experience begins with their role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wageningen University, where they worked from 1996 to 2002. Henk-Jan then joined Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg as a post-doc from 2002 to 2009, focusing on the mechanisms of pathogenicity of Botrytis cinerea on various host plants and defense mechanisms of Arabidopsis against pathogens.

Henk-Jan Schoonbeek's education history begins in 1985 when they attended Mencia de Mendoza Lyceum, where they obtained their VWO degree in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching in 1991. Henk-Jan then pursued further education at Leiden University from 1991 to 1996, earning a Master's degree in Chemistry and Molecular genetics. Finally, they enrolled at Wageningen University & Research from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Plant Pathology.
