Postdoctoral Researcher at John Innes Centre

Javier Santos Aberturas has a diverse work experience in research and academia. Javier began as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the John Innes Centre in 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Fundation at the Institute of Biochemistry, Greifswald University from 2012 to 2015. In 2010, they were a Research Collaborator at INBIOTEC. From 2006 to 2010, they held the position of a Fellow of the National University Teaching Program (FPU) at Universidad de León. Javier began their career as a Specialization Fellow at the Instituto de Bioingenieria in 2004.

Javier Santos Aberturas pursued their education at the Universidad de León, where they completed their Licenciado en Biología degree in Fundamental from 1999 to 2004. Javier furthered their academic journey at the same university, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from 2005 to 2011.
