Mohan Thanthirige

Mohan Thanthirige has a strong background in finance and accounting. Mohan began their career at Ernst & Young, where they served as an Executive in the AABS Division. In this role, they gained exposure to various control environments, business operations, and accounting systems while working with a diverse range of clients in sectors such as manufacturing, trading, hospitality, finance, and nonprofit organizations.

After their time at Ernst & Young, Mohan joined John Keells Holdings PLC. Mohan initially served as the Manager of the Group Finance Division, where they were responsible for preparing and publishing the company's annual and quarterly reports. Mohan also successfully coordinated with external auditors for annual audits and limited review assignments.

Due to their exceptional work, Mohan was promoted to the role of Financial Controller - Assistant Vice President. In this position, they continued to oversee financial reporting and analysis, including complex ratio analysis and designing standardized reporting formats.

Currently, Mohan holds the position of Group Financial Controller - Vice President at John Keells Holdings PLC. Mohan is responsible for overall financial management and control, playing a key role in the company's financial strategy and decision-making.

Mohan Thanthirige has demonstrated a strong track record of excellence in finance and accounting throughout their career, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Mohan Thanthirige completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Accountancy, known as FCA, from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, from 2004 to 2007. Mohan Thanthirige also received a Bachelor of Science - Management (Public) (Special) (Hons -Second Class Upper Division) Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 2000 to 2004.
