Minnie Reed

Minnie Reed is currently a Junior Knitwear Designer at John Smedley Ltd, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Minnie served as a Retail and Social Media Manager at The ClayRooms from September 2021 to June 2023. A notable achievement includes winning the Shima Seiki Europe Competition in April 2023, which provided two weeks of training at Shima Seiki Europe Headquarters. Freelance work for Emilie Flora involved machine knitting for a collaboration in April 2021. Minnie's early experience as a Junior Knitwear Designer at Susana Bettencourt from September 2019 to March 2020 included designing bobbin lace pieces for Portugal Fashion and creating technical sheets for collections. Prior retail experience includes roles at FatFace and Pachacuti. Minnie holds a Master of Arts in Fashion Knitwear from Nottingham Trent University, a degree in Textile Design from the University of the Arts London, and a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from Manchester School of Art.
