Mark Washington D.sc.

Mark Washington D.Sc. is an accomplished information technology leader with extensive experience in academic institutions. Currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at The Johns Hopkins University since October 2016, Mark oversees all IT initiatives for the Facilities and Real Estate sector. In addition, Mark is a Lecturer for the Geographic Information Systems course at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs, where graduate students explore GIS applications in various fields. Previous roles include Director of IT Service Management at West Virginia University, Manager of Facilities Information Technology at Princeton University, and Adjunct Professor at Mercer County Community College. Mark's educational qualifications include a Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity from Marymount University, a Master’s in Communications & Information Science from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor’s in Business from The Wharton School.
