Gary Gavin

Gary Gavin is a seasoned engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in the building automation and industrial control sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Connected Products at Johnson Controls, Gary oversees global engineering efforts in IoT, Cloud, and DevOps, while previously managing the engineering of Thermostats and Sensors. With a strong background in team leadership, Gary has managed a diverse global engineering department and spearheaded strategic mergers and acquisitions. Earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer and Engineering Manager at both Johnson Controls and Rockwell Automation, where significant contributions to test automation and product development were recognized with awards. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
