Elisa Waldman

VP, Workforce Development & Continuing Education, Adjunct Faculty Legal Studies at Johnson County Community College

Elisa Waldman is the Interim VP of Continuing Education and Adjunct Faculty of Legal Studies at Johnson County Community College. Elisa has been with the college since 2007, first as a Consultant for the Kansas Small Business Development Center, then as the Regional Director of the Kansas Small Business Development Center, and finally as the Dean of Continuing Education.

Waldman has also been an attorney and business owner. Elisa owned and operated Paint Glaze & Fire, Inc., a ceramics painting studio, from 1997 to 2005. Prior to that, they worked as an Advocacy Manager for the Academy of General Dentistry from 1996 to 1997.

Waldman received their law degree from Washburn University School of Law in 1992.

Elisa Waldman's educational career includes earning an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard University, a High School degree in Social Studies from The Barstow School, and a J.D. in Law from The George Washington University Law School. Elisa also has certification from DRI International (Disaster Recovery Institute) as a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and as an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP). Additionally, they have certification from Johnson County Community College in Living as a Leader and Innovation of the Year Award.

They are on a team with Rachel Lierz - AVP, Chief Financial Officer, Randy Weber - EVP, Student Success & Chief Strategy Officer, and John Clayton - ED, Institutional Effectiveness, Research & Planning. Their manager is Andrew W. Bowne, President.
