Geordy Johnson

Geordy Johnson began their work experience in 2004 as a Summer Intern at Allen & Company LLC. Geordy then worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC from 2005 to 2007. Following that, they had a brief role as an Associate in Real Estate Private Equity at Black Creek Group in 2007. In 2008, Geordy joined The Johnson Group as an Associate in Johnson Management and stayed until 2011. Geordy then worked as Manager - Investment Services at AvalonBay Communities from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to the present, Geordy has been actively involved with The Johnson Group, serving as President of Johnson Management and currently working as the Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, in 2015, Geordy also took on the role of CEO at Johnson Development Associates, Inc., a national real estate developer.

Geordy Johnson completed their MBA in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in English from Washington and Lee University from 2001 to 2005. Geordy attended Spartanburg High School from 1999 to 2001. Geordy also attended Pine Crest School from 1993 to 1999, where they completed 5th to 10th grade.

In addition to their formal education, Geordy has obtained several certifications. In August 2021, they obtained the "Leadership at the Peak" certification from the Center for Creative Leadership. In March 2015, they earned the "Governing Family Enterprises" certification from Kellogg Executive Education. Furthermore, in January 2013, Geordy became ARGUS Software Certified (ASC) – Valuation – DCF through ARGUS Software Solutions.
