Brendan Townes Bailey has a diverse work experience in the architecture and design industry. Brendan currently holds the position of Senior Designer at Johnson Fain since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Architect at Torti Gallas + Partners from 2020 to 2023, where they contributed to the design of various projects and served on the sustainability committee. Brendan also served as a Job Captain at Carrier Johnson + CULTURE in 2019, managing small to medium projects and supporting the firm's design ethos. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at CSS - Coastal Sustainability Studio, LSU from 2017 to 2019, and as an Architectural Designer/Project Manager at Munn Architecture, LLC from 2013 to 2017. Brendan has also held positions at Newman Architecture, Tryba Architects, Digatron, Inc., Poor Joe's Cabling, and CiSCO Custom Instrumentation Services Corporation, where they gained experience in various architectural roles and responsibilities.

Brendan Townes Bailey has an extensive education history in the field of architecture. Brendan began their educational journey at Arapahoe Community College from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Architectural Technology [A.A.S].

Building on their foundational education, Brendan pursued a Bachelor's degree at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2006 to 2010. Brendan earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honors [BEnvD] with a focus on Architecture.

Driven by their passion for the field, Brendan went on to pursue a Master's degree at Louisiana State University from 2017 to 2019. Brendan obtained a Master of Architecture [M.Arch] with a specialization in Architecture.

In addition to their formal education, Brendan has also obtained multiple certifications throughout their career. These certifications include LEED Green Associate from the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) in May 2023, the Healthier Materials and Sustainable Buildings Certificate from Parsons School of Design - The New School in July 2022, and the Living Future Accreditation (LFA) from the International Living Future Institute in April 2021.

Brendan has further expanded their expertise with certifications such as Urbanist from The Congress for the New Urbanism in July 2020, EcoDistricts Accredited Professional from EcoDistricts in May 2020, and the NCARB Certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) in May 2020.

Moreover, Brendan holds professional licenses, including an Architect License (Incl. Corporation & Joint Practice) from the California Architects Board obtained in February 2020, and they are a Registered Architect recognized by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies since January 2019.
