David Kristo has extensive work experience in the medical field. David is currently serving as the Medical Director of Sleep and Respiratory Therapy at Johnson Memorial Health since September 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh from May 2019 to September 2021. From January 2016 to September 2021, they served as the Medical Director of Sleep Laboratory at Montefiore and UPMC East Monroeville under the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Before joining the University of Pittsburgh, they worked as a physician and Faculty Physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center from October 2008 to September 2021. David started their medical career in the US Army as an Attending Physician from July 1988 to October 2008.
David Kristo attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chem-Biochem. Following that, from 1984 to 1988, they enrolled at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in the field of Medicine.
