Ash Browning is a Frontend Developer in London at Blink. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at FactSet Research Systems from July 2012 to October 2017. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Developer Advocacy Group within the Core Product Engineering department (CPE), their key responsibilities included the creation and maintenance of infrastructural items used in CPE's 100+ applications, the promotion of best practices and dissemination of latest standards to other Engineers and the incubation of new department initiatives until they reached maturity.
In addition, Ash led and championed a side-project that audited and aggregated data from many services related to CPE's applications into one central hub, which provided timely feedback to Product Developers and Engineers. This saved time & effort as well as improved the quality of the department's applications.
Ash also took on many additional responsibilities including organising Engineering socials (and managing its budget), trained and mentored new Engineers, represented the company at careers fairs and worked with the Rare Foundations: Technology programme. Prior to their role as Senior Software Engineer, Ash was a Software Engineer Intern at FactSet Research Systems from June 2011 to September 2011.
Ash Browning has a MEng in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.
