Carey Spurgeon

Carey Spurgeon has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Carey currently serves as a Business Development and Sales Leadership Fellow at Coho since January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Founding Chief of Staff at Lobby starting from April 2022.

Before entering the startup ecosystem, Carey worked at Principle Building Consulting, Inc from April 2012. In this role, they served as a Consultant, Account Manager, Project Manager, President, and Founder. Their responsibilities included providing business consulting services to builders, real estate agents, and homeowners, as well as construction project management.

From May 2022 to August 2022, Carey was an On Deck Chief of Staff Fellow at On Deck. Carey also previously held the role of On Deck First 50 Fellow from October 2021 to April 2022, where they contributed to creating a talent supply for high-growth companies seeking startup roles.

In the healthcare sector, Carey worked at Progressive Medical Center as the Director of Operations, Chief of Staff, and Executive Assistant to the Founder and CEO. Their role involved consulting, decision-making influence, data analysis, managing schedules, and overseeing day-to-day operations. Carey held this role from November 2010 to July 2018.

Earlier in their career, Carey served as a Senior Manager and National Trainer in the Leadership and Education Training for Direct Sales Industry from June 2005 to June 2012. Carey also worked as a Local Census Office Manager Quality Assurance at the U.S. Census Bureau from March 2009 to October 2010.

In 2007, Carey was the President of BNI Global for the duration of the year.
