Marla Beyer

Marla Beyer has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Marla is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Hopscotch, a position they have held since May 2020. Marla is also an Alumni Mentor at Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, starting in May 2021. Prior to their current roles, Marla worked as a Fund Manager at Big Red Ventures from March 2019 to May 2020, where they were responsible for early-stage venture capital investments. Before that, they were an Associate at Big Red Ventures from October 2018 to March 2019. Marla also gained experience as a Corporate Strategy MBA Intern at UnitedHealth Group from April 2019 to August 2019, and as an MBA Consultant at Boston Scientific from August 2018 to December 2018. Earlier in their career, they worked at the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital as a Project Manager from June 2017 to May 2018, and as a Clinical Research Analyst from March 2016 to May 2017. Marla also worked as a Research Analyst at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo from August 2015 to May 2018. Marla started their career as a Clinical Research Associate at Kaleida Health from November 2016 to January 2018, where they were involved in various clinical research and quality improvement projects in the emergency room department. Additionally, Marla gained experience as an Executive Administration Intern at the Greater New York Hospital Association from June 2017 to August 2017.

Marla Beyer has a diverse education history. Marla holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Corporate Finance Immersion from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Additionally, they obtained a Masters of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Cornell University's College of Human Ecology, specializing in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Prior to their graduate studies, Marla pursued a Bachelor's degree at the University at Buffalo, majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Marla has completed two certifications: CITI Course Completion and Good Research Practice Training (GRP), both obtained at the University at Buffalo (UB).
