Anna Joe is a highly experienced researcher specializing in molecular biology, microbiology, and plant pathology. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tübingen since January 2021 and at the Joint BioEnergy Institute since March 2014, Anna has a robust background in bacterial pathology and plant interactions. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Davis, focusing on pathogen virulence and plant innate immunity while managing collaborations across multiple research groups. Anna's graduate research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln involved characterizing virulence factors in tomato pathogens, and earlier research at Seoul National University demonstrated the role of Trehalose-6-phosphate synthase in plant stress resistance. Anna holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master's degree in Life Science from Seoul National University, and a Bachelor's degree in Life and Natural Science from Korea University.
