Xavier Anton MD FACEP

Xavier Anton MD FACEP has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Xavier began their career as the President of Kakok Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to education and healthcare in Haiti, where they sponsored a school and a clinic. Xavier then served as the President of XH Software, where they developed electronic health record (EHR) and patient tracking software for emergency departments.

In 2004, Xavier became the Managing Partner and CEO of MA Emergency Associates, overseeing emergency services at Metropolitan Hospital. Xavier later took on the role of Managing Partner and CEO at Emergency Room Medical Associates (ERMA), where they managed multiple emergency departments and urgent care centers.

From 2013 to 2017, Xavier served as the Chair of the Emergency Medicine Service Line and Chair of the Emergency Department at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). During this time, they implemented improvements in patient flow, performance, risk management, and insurance denial management.

In 2017, Xavier joined VPS Healthcare as the Group Chief Medical Officer, overseeing healthcare services across multiple countries. Xavier then worked as the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Group42, focusing on medical informatics and data management.

Currently, Xavier holds the positions of Consultant at Joint Commission International and CMO/CMIO at Elegancia Healthcare Group in Qatar. In these roles, they are involved in improving patient safety and quality of healthcare while delivering exceptional patient-focused experiences.

Dr. Xavier Anton obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine from the Universitat de Barcelona, where they studied from 1971 to 1977. Xavier then obtained additional certifications in Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in January 1992. Xavier also holds certifications in ACLS-ATLS-PALS-BLS from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. Dr. Anton is also Board Certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) and is Board Eligible in Hematology Oncology and Internal Medicine, as recognized by their respective institutions. Additionally, they have completed training in Patient Safety at the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute.
