Emmanuel Benazera has a strong background in research and technology development. Emmanuel started their career as a Trainee at the Motorola Research Center in 1999. Emmanuel then worked as a Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center from 2003 to 2005. Following that, they joined DFKI GmbH as a Senior Researcher from 2006 to 2007. Emmanuel also worked at LAAS-CNRS as a Researcher from 2007 to 2009, focusing on multi-robot decentralized robust autonomy. From 2009 to 2013, they served as the VP R&D at ioSquare. Emmanuel then co-founded XPLR Software Inc. and worked as the CTO from 2012 to 2014. After that, they joined Inria as a Senior Research Engineer from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they hold the position of CEO at JoliBrain, where they build Open Source AI products and provides software services to customers.
Emmanuel Benazera completed their PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, at the LAAS-CNRS/University Toulouse Paul-Sabatier from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained an MD in Applied Mathematics & Statistics from the University Paris-Dauphine between 1997 and 1999.
