Chris Burns

Chris Burns has extensive work experience in the retail industry. Chris started their career as a Buying Manager at Tesco Ireland in 2002, specializing in dairy and frozen products. Chris then joined Asda Stores Ltd in 2006 as a Buying Manager, before moving to Wilkinson Hardware Stores Ltd in 2010 as a Senior Buyer for household goods. Later that year, they were promoted to Head of FMCG at Wilkinson, a position they held until 2016. In 2016, Chris joined GHM Stores Ltd as the Trading Director, where they played a key role in launching a discount variety chain. Chris then moved to Poundland & Dealz in 2017 as the Trading Controller for FMCG Buying and Supply. Currently, Chris is working as a Commercial Director at Jollyes Petfood Superstores since 2020.

Chris Burns attended Omagh High School from 1985 to 1990. Chris then went on to study at Queen's University Belfast from 1992 to 1996, earning a BSc degree in Food Science.
