Carl Giesler

Carl Giesler has been CEO of Jones Energy since July 2021. Prior to that they were President and CEO of SandRidge Energy from April 2020 to July 2021. Carl has also served as Chairman of Compass Production Partners, LP, Managing Director of Harbinger Group Inc., and Managing Director and Director of Investments of Harbinger Capital Partners.

After graduating from high school in Houston, TX, Carl Giesler attended the University of Virginia, where they earned a BA in Political Science and Government. Carl then attended Harvard Law School, where they earned a Doctor of Law (JD). Finally, they received certification from the CFA Institute as a CFA.
