Joel Schmidt

Joel Schmidt is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software and mobile development. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and previously as Principal Engineer at Jora since July 2021, Joel has held significant roles including Android Lead at Transurban from August 2017 to July 2021, Senior Mobile Developer at REA Group for a brief period in early 2017, and Senior Software Developer at Outware Mobile from March 2013 to December 2016. Early in their career, Joel worked as a Software Engineer at CAE from August 2009 to March 2013, where contributions included the development of intelligent agents for interactive emergency services training. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, completed between 2005 and 2009.
