Anas Ayesh is the current Executive Manager of Treasury & Investment at Jordan Commercial Bank. Anas has over 18 years of experience in the financial sector, working in various positions in FX & MM, Treasury & Investment, and ALCO (CCM).
Ayesh started their career in 2001 as an FX & MM Dealer at Capital Bank of Jordan. In this role, they were responsible for pricing and trading local (corporate & governmental), CD's, T-Bills, and T-Bonds. Anas also priced and traded commercial papers, repo agreements, FX forwards, and swaps. In 2005, they left Capital Bank of Jordan to join Safwa Islamic Bank as Senior Manager (Head), Treasury & Investment/ Secretary of ALCO (CCM).
At Safwa Islamic Bank, Ayesh coordinated with senior management in taking strategic decisions affecting the overall investment portfolio of the bank and developed and formulated investment/trading strategy. Anas also made sound investment decisions by continuous market research and good judgment. In addition, they provided top management with high level reports of the portfolios on a periodic basis. Anas was also a team player in dealing with Islamic sukuk (Origination/arranging, participation, marketing and outsourcing regional sukuk) and provided Islamic advices in compliance with sharia rules to HNWI. Furthermore, they prepared Daily FX Prices against JOD and managed Bank notes (Surplus/Deficit) for the bank. Anas also facilitated prompt service in quoting rates, deal execution and branch queries pertaining to the FX desk. Lastly, they actively participated in the achievement of the profit target of Dealing Room and regularly updated clients on market sentiment and market expectations in currency movements.
In November 2017, Ayesh left Safwa Islamic Bank to join Jordan Commercial Bank as Executive Manager of Treasury & Investment. In this role, they are responsible for managing the bank’s treasury portfolio and ensuring that it is in line with the bank’s risk appetite. Anas is also responsible for formulating the bank’s investment strategy and overseeing its implementation.
