Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith, MAI, is a Partner at Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc., where since January 2005, expertise in commercial real estate appraisal has been demonstrated across diverse property types, including downtown trophy offices, federal headquarters, retail shopping centers, condominium development, multi-family units, mixed-use properties, leasehold interests, and vacant land in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to this role, Matthew served as an Associate Appraiser at Delta Associates from February 2003 to January 2005, specializing in real estate appraisals for litigation, expert witness services, and tax appeals, covering property types such as wetlands, utility corridors, residential subdivisions, and special exceptions. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Business from James Madison University, earned between 1992 and 1996.
