Shakur Smith

Shakur Smith is a software engineer who is currently employed at Journera. Prior to this, Shakur was a software engineering student at Thinkful from November 2020 to May 2021. Shakur has experience with various programming languages and software development tools. Some of the programming languages Shakur is experienced with include JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, and Express. In addition to their experience with programming languages, Shakur is also experienced with software development tools such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Express. Shakur's experience with software development began with their completion of the Engineering Immersion Course at Thinkful. This course lasted for 595 hours and included instruction in various programming languages and software development tools. In addition to the instruction received in this course, Shakur also completed two projects during their time at Thinkful. The first project was WeLoveMovies, a full-stack movie application that displays a selection of movies, reviews and theater information. The second project was Flashcard App, an application that allows users to create a deck of flashcards add/edit cards and start a study session.

They are on a team with Prayuth Naduthota - DevOps Engineer, Ashley-Lauren Mighty - Senior Data Scientist, and Don Kuntz - Senior DevOps Engineer. Their manager is Kevin Iverson, CTO.
