Umesh Kanacheri

Umesh Kanacheri is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as Deputy General Manager at JSW Paints since September 2023, responsible for chemical procurement of raw materials for the Decorative and Industrial divisions, managing a budget of approximately INR 1200 Cr (USD 150M). Prior to this role, Umesh worked at Huntsman Corporation as Procurement Manager, overseeing a spend of around INR 420 Cr (USD 50 Mio) for the PU & ADmat division, and at Pidilite Industries Limited as Senior Manager Procurement, managing domestic purchases of raw materials across various divisions with a total spend of INR 760 Cr. Umesh has held earlier positions in procurement at Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Asian Paints, and Savex Computer Ltd, demonstrating a solid foundation in the field. Umesh holds a Capstone degree from SPJIMR and a Bachelor of Commerce from Vivek College.
