Jim Hill

Jim Hill has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Jim currently holds the position of Infrastructure Team Lead at JuliaHub since June 2023 and also works as a Cloud Engineer there since February 2022. Previously, Jim was a Co-Founder and Principal Software Engineer at NavAbility from July 2020 to December 2022. Before that, they worked at Intelligent Medical Objects as an Enterprise Architect from October 2020 to August 2021 and as a Staff Software Engineer from April 2019 to October 2020. Jim also gained valuable experience at GE Digital, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2015 to April 2019, a Product Manager from August 2017 to January 2019, and a Customer Reliability Engineer from December 2013 to February 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Applications Engineer at Renishaw from July 2010 to December 2013. Jim started their career as a Graduate Assistant at Northern Illinois University from January 2009 to July 2010. Additionally, Jim has volunteered as an Event Chairman for the American Cancer Society from October 2008 to July 2010 and as a Mentor/Team Leader for FIRST Robotics from January 2008 to February 2009. Jim also has experience as a Design Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. from August 2006 to February 2009.

Jim Hill obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University in 2006. In the same year, they also obtained their Professional Engineering in Training (EIT) certification from the Professional Engineering of Illinois. In 2005, they received a Green Belt certification from Six Sigma. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University in 2014. Furthermore, Jim Hill pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a Certified Tutor certification from the College Learning and Reading Association in 2003.
