Andrew Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Andrew currently works at JumpCloud as a Security Engineer, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Andrew held a role at DataRobot as a Senior Security Operations and Incident Response specialist from 2021 to 2022. In this position, they were responsible for developing and monitoring security toolsets, establishing security operations processes and controls, and coordinating with internal and external teams.

From 2017 to 2021, Andrew worked at Re:Sources, A Publicis Groupe Company, as a Senior Cyber Security Incident Response Analyst. Andrew'sresponsibilities included performing analysis to detect and remediate security threats, leading incident response efforts, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve incidents and breaches.

Before that, Andrew worked at Stefanini as a Senior Desktop Support Analyst in 2016 and as a Software Engineer and IT Manager at JCPenney from 2002 to 2012. Andrew'srole at Stefanini involved administering O365 and Windows Servers and serving as an escalation point for desktop support. At JCPenney, Andrew played a crucial role in analyzing and gathering requirements for logistics systems, developing and maintaining software systems, administering distribution management software, and managing IT staff.

Andrew began their career at Johnson County Community College as a Microcomputer Technician from 2000 to 2002.

Andrew Schmidt received their education from 1999 to 2002 at Tarrant County College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Information Technology - Application Development. Following this, from 2001 to 2004, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Systems at Ottawa University. In terms of certifications, Andrew obtained the Network+ certification from CompTIA in May 2001. Andrew acquired the Security+ certification from CompTIA in April 2017 and the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification from (ISC)² in February 2018. Andrew further expanded their credentials with the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) certification from GIAC Certifications in April 2019 and the GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA) certification from GIAC Certifications in August 2020. Lastly, Andrew is currently working towards obtaining the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services Training and Certification, with an expected completion date in September 2022.
