Herb Schneider

Herb Schneider is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Juniper Networks since January 2021, following the acquisition of Apstra, where Schneider held the same title from September 2019. Prior roles include VP Engineering at Maxta Inc. from March 2016 to January 2019, contributing to innovative hyper-converged storage solutions, and Senior Vice President of Engineering at Nebula, Inc. from April 2014 to April 2015, focusing on accessible Private Cloud technology. Schneider also co-founded GridIron Systems, serving as VP of Engineering from April 2008 to January 2013, and co-founded Extreme Networks Inc., where roles included VP and the development of significant networking technologies from 1996 to 2007. Earlier experience includes applications engineering and management at National Semiconductor from 1981 to 1990. Schneider earned a BSEE in Circuits and Communications from the University of California, Davis, from 1977 to 1981.
