Martine Løvold is an experienced legal and environmental advisor, currently serving as a Spesialrådgiver at SYSSELMANNEN PÅ SVALBARD since October 2018, where Martine leads projects related to the cleanup of the Svea/Lunckefjell mine. Simultaneously, Løvold holds the position of Seniorrådgiver in the Naturforvaltningsavdelingen at KLIMA- OG MILJØDEPARTEMENTET since 2014, focusing on conservation management and outdoor law. Additionally, Løvold has been a lecturer and examiner at NMBU - Norwegian University of Life Sciences since March 2012, covering subjects like planning and building law, and serves as a member of the expert committee on building and regulatory law at JUS - Juristenes Utdanningssenter. Løvold also contributes as a board member at Nordstrand bydelshus AS since April 2012. Previously, Løvold worked as a Seniorrådgiver in the Planavdelingen of Miljøverndepartementet from March 2000 to March 2014, concentrating on planning, administrative, and environmental law. Academic qualifications include a Cand. Jur. from the University of Oslo and a Master of Law (LLM) in Human Rights and International Public Law from the University of Cape Town.
