Vijay Rao

Vijay Rao is the current Chief Investment Officer at Just Invest. Vijay has also held the position of Head of Portfolio Management and Trading at Vanguard, and Board of Directors at Pandoodle. Vijay has a total of over 20 years experience in the finance industry.

Rao started their career as a data analyst at MSCI Barra, before moving to SmallCaps Online as a research analyst. Vijay then spent two years as a fixed income trader at Barclays Global Investors before becoming a portfolio manager at a family office.

In 2010, Rao co-founded Just Invest, LLC, which was acquired by Vanguard in 2015. Vijay then became the Chair of FinTech Committee at CFA Society San Francisco, where they served for two years. Rao left Vanguard in 2018 to become the Principal Consultant at MonJa.
