Vathany Muong

Vathany Muong has a diverse work experience in the finance and credit union industry. Vathany is currently working at Justice Federal Credit Union as an Assistant Vice President in the Accounting and Finance department, starting from May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Finance at TruEnergy Federal Credit Union from June 2021 to April 2023.

Vathany also worked at Signature Federal Credit Union for a significant amount of time, starting in 2012. During their tenure, they held various positions such as Director of Administration, Financial Analyst, and Staff Trainer. As the Director of Administration, they were responsible for overseeing administrative functions, including human resources, training, compliance, security, facility management, and supervision of the Member Services department. Vathany also served as an Information Security Officer and was a member of the Asset/Liability Committee.

Before joining Signature Federal Credit Union, Vathany worked as an Accounting Assistant at Northrop Grumman Corporation from January 2011 to March 2012.

Vathany Muong earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from George Mason University, attending from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. These include the Certified Senior Executive certification from CUES, which they obtained in September 2015. In June 2015, they also earned the Financial Analysis Specialist Certification (FASC) from The Finance Training Society. Moreover, they obtained the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) from GIAC Certifications in June 2020. In May 2013, they acquired the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) certification from the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU).
