Shannon Magnuson

Shannon Magnuson is a seasoned professional in the field of criminology and justice, currently serving as a Senior Associate at Justice System Partners since January 2020, after previously holding the position of Research Associate. Shannon's earlier roles include a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Justice and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence. Shannon has also gained experience as an intern with the Vera Institute of Justice and the New York City Department of Probation, contributing to various research initiatives focused on sentencing, pretrial assessments, and crime prevention. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Criminology, Law and Society from George Mason University, an MA in Criminal Justice and Corrections from John Jay College, and a BA in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Florida.
