Yrthya holds a cross-functional position that embeds diversity, equity, and inclusion, social impact, and sustainability into all business practices at Justworks. In her role, Yrthya focuses on executing Justworks’ social impact vision and the company’s corporate social responsibility programming to further advance its commitment of serving the needs of customers, colleagues, and their respective communities. Her work to formalize and grow the company’s devotion to social, environmental, and governance issues is demonstrated in the development of Justworks.org, which is devoted to creating equitable access to entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining Justworks, Yrthya was the Culture and Operations Chief at the Open Society U.S Foundation where she led human resources, compliance, operations, work culture, and the organization's budget. Her career began working for the Manhattan Borough President where she focused on elevating constituent concerns to influence policy making. She later went on to become the first Chief Diversity Officer for the State of New York, furthering her support for Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and workforce diversity across government. She has held roles across the public and private sectors including Robin Hood Foundation, Toyota, Thomson Reuters, Time Warner, and NYC Department of Education.
Yrthya serves on the board of the Hispanic Federation, Latino Victory Fund, and The Public Theater of New York. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Dickinson College and a Master’s in Public Administration from NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
